Agent Toolkitv0.6.1

Agent Toolkit v0.6.1: Smarter job timing and readable channel exports

Job scheduling now respects the time actually left in a turn, stranded tool calls are now recorded, and large channel exports are easier to read from disk.

  • Accurate job timing. job_run now checks how much time is truly left in the current turn instead of the turn's full length, so jobs that fit are started rather than mistakenly waited for near a turn's end.
  • Safer defaults under load. When multiple turns are active at once, job_run uses the tightest deadline among them, meaning a job may start sooner than expected rather than risk losing its result.
  • Clearer timeout messages. A job's response no longer incorrectly claims it is longer than the turn when the turn itself simply ran out of time.
  • Visibility into stranded calls. The gateway now logs a stranded tool call when it finishes after its turn has already ended, so previously invisible lost results are now recorded and named once.
  • Easier-to-read channel exports. Large read_channel results now write one message per line, so file-based tools can page through them without hitting a single oversized line.
  • Optional text truncation. Callers can set maxTextChars to shorten long messages in a channel export, with truncated entries clearly marked.
