Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines acceptable conduct when using SageOx services. These guidelines help ensure a safe, secure, and productive environment for all users and protect the integrity of our platform.

Acceptable Use

SageOx is designed to help teams collaborate more effectively with AI assistance. We encourage you to:

  • Use the service for its intended purpose of team collaboration and knowledge management
  • Respect the rights and privacy of other users
  • Follow your organization's internal policies and applicable laws
  • Report security vulnerabilities or policy violations responsibly

Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using SageOx services:

Illegal Activities

  • Using the service to facilitate, promote, or engage in any illegal activity
  • Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringing on intellectual property rights, including unauthorized use of copyrighted material, trademarks, or patents
  • Transmitting or storing content that violates export control laws

Malware and Exploits

  • Developing, distributing, or deploying malicious software, viruses, worms, trojans, or other harmful code
  • Creating or sharing exploits, attack tools, or techniques designed to compromise systems or networks
  • Using the service to conduct penetration testing or security assessments without proper authorization
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to discover source code or underlying algorithms

Security and Access Violations

  • Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with security-related features of the service
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any systems, networks, accounts, or data
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of systems or networks without authorization
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the service
  • Bypassing rate limits, usage quotas, or other resource restrictions

Harassment and Abuse

  • Harassing, threatening, stalking, or intimidating other users
  • Transmitting abusive, defamatory, obscene, or offensive content
  • Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation
  • Creating accounts or using the service for fraudulent purposes

Spam and Unauthorized Access

  • Sending unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or spam
  • Using the service for phishing, social engineering, or credential harvesting
  • Collecting or harvesting information about users without their consent
  • Operating scripts or automated tools that negatively impact service performance

Credential Sharing and Account Security

  • Sharing your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Using another person's account without their explicit permission
  • Allowing multiple individuals to use a single account in violation of license terms
  • Failing to maintain the security and confidentiality of your authentication credentials

Responsible AI Usage

When using SageOx's AI-powered features:

  • Do not attempt to manipulate AI systems to produce harmful, biased, or inappropriate outputs
  • Do not use AI features to generate content that violates this AUP or applicable laws
  • Do not intentionally expose the AI to malicious inputs designed to compromise its integrity
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of content used to train or interact with AI models
  • Understand that AI-generated content should be reviewed and validated before use in critical applications

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to:

When reporting violations, please include:

  • Description of the suspected violation
  • Date and time of the incident
  • Any relevant evidence (logs, screenshots, URLs)
  • Your contact information for follow-up

All reports will be reviewed promptly and handled with appropriate confidentiality.

Consequences of Violations

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Warning and requirement to cease prohibited activity
  • Temporary suspension of service access
  • Permanent termination of account and service access
  • Legal action, including referral to law enforcement
  • Financial liability for damages caused by violations

The severity of consequences depends on the nature and impact of the violation. SageOx reserves the right to determine appropriate action at its sole discretion.

Cooperation with Law Enforcement

SageOx will cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating violations of law or this AUP. We may disclose information about users and their activities when:

  • Required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, search warrant)
  • Necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SageOx, our users, or the public
  • Required to comply with applicable laws or regulations

Changes to This Policy

SageOx may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through:

  • Email notification to registered account addresses
  • In-app notifications
  • Updates to this page with revised "Last Updated" date

Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
