Agent Toolkitv0.6.0

Codex or Claude as the brain

Pick the model behind a coworker, and a handoff between two of them stops echoing.

  • Codex can run as a coworker's brain, alongside Claude. Select it with sageox-agent brain codex [--model <id>]; both providers share channel sessions, memory, MCP tools and the same gateway-enforced permissions.
  • One handoff is one ack. A reply to a sibling coworker no longer mentions it, and on Buzz that mention is the only thing that wakes one — so a handoff no longer echoes into six messages, five of them coworkers declining to speak. A reply to a person still carries the mention.
  • read_channel takes a time window, and the gateway's clock cuts it. withinHours: 24 becomes the surface's own filter, so a digest job can't open a window past the newest message and report the busiest day as "nothing in the last 24h" with the read still returning ok.
  • An argument a tool doesn't declare is refused, not dropped. withinhours used to parse as a read with no window and hand back the whole channel to a caller that believed it asked for a day.

Chart 0.15.0 adds persistence.jobCodeIndex — off by default — to share the coworker's warm code index with scheduled command jobs read-only, and refuses worker beside prompt: true. Existing Claude coworkers need no changes. Full notes are on the v0.6.0 release.
